Responsibility for aggressive bottom-line results produced quickly and with limited resources, has honed her capacity to differentiate between the essential and the desired. Executive experience has provided hands-on appreciation for what a business requires to be successful.
Prior to establishing Symbiotic Solutions, Carol functioned as Chief Operating Officer of Texas Dow Employees Credit Union (Total Assets $1.1B), with responsibility for Accounting, Treasury, IT, Loan Operations, Compliance, and Special Projects. She has filled executive and staff leadership roles in the retail, financial, legal, and technical services industries. Her articles on Operations Management have appeared in the Houston Business Journal and, nationally, in the Credit Union Times.
Trained as a mathematician and with an MBA concentrated in Operations Research, Carol understands and values metrics and process. (A copy of her Primer on Inferential Statistics is available upon request to any who are, improbably, interested.) She also brings rigorous logic to bear in analyzing a situation and evaluating potential solutions.
Carol can simultaneously appreciate and advocate for the concerns of multiple constituencies. She works across functions and hierarchical levels to develop organizational clarity on root issues, crafting resolutions that benefit the practice as a whole. Her problem solving approach is distinguished by a strong preference for low-tech solutions that deliver significant operational benefits quickly and with minimal capital outlays.
